Bookkeeper (part-time in NL, 16 hours/week contract)
- On-site, Hybrid
- €16,000 - €20,000 per year
Job description
🏔️ Arkipel
We are building products that get people moving outside. Relive helps more than 25 million users plan, capture and share their outdoor adventures. JOIN is the training app for cyclists and endurance athletes who want to train smarter. REN is our newest running app, supporting users in their daily running routine. Kunu is our golf app that tells you what you can improve with every swing.
Each app has its own identity, but behind the scenes we’re building a scalable organization that’s ready for the future. Small teams, big products, no layers of management between an idea and the people it reaches. We build things we are genuinely proud of, and we move fast because we can.
🧾 Bookkeeper at Arkipel
For our fast-growing portfolio of apps, we are looking for a structured, independent Bookkeeper with a sharp eye for numbers.
You’ll work centrally for Relive, JOIN, REN and Kunu keeping the books in order so the rest of the team can trust the numbers and focus on building.
You’ll work closely with our financial analyst and make sure all our bookkeeping flows run smoothly: from invoicing to VAT returns, from subscription transactions to monthly reports for our entire portfolio.
🕰️ This role is 16 hours per week (with the option to increase to 24 hours in the future)
💡 What you’ll do
Month-end close and daily bookkeeping for Relive, JOIN, REN and Kunu
Processing purchase invoices, sales invoices and payment flows
Checking subscription transactions from Google, Apple, Stripe and other payment channels
VAT, ICP & OSS returns
Cash and bank reconciliations, cost allocations and general ledger management
Preparing year-end work for the external accountant
Improving financial processes, systems and reporting
🙋 Who you are
These are some things we would like to see. Don't let it hold you back if you don't tick every single box.
Bookkeeping experience in the Netherlands: you know your way around the Belastingdienst, BTW returns and Dutch reporting requirements
A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn
A relevant education in bookkeeping, accounting or financial administration
Accuracy and a strong sense of responsibility
You speak and write Dutch fluently (C1/C2 level) and have excellent English
Analytical skills and experience with Excel/ Google Sheets
Experience with Exact Online is a big plus
💛 The practical side
🕰️ Hours and location: 16 hours per week (0.4 FTE). This role lives at our Amsterdam office and we expect you to work from there most of the time. Working from home now and then is fine when it suits your plans. Arkipel as a whole is a mix of remote, hybrid and office-based people.
🙌 Team gatherings: Company-wide retreat and team offsites throughout the year
🏝 Holidays: 10 vacation days (at 16 hours/week), on top of local bank holidays
🎓 Learning: Annual €1,000 learning budget
📈 Options: Stock appreciation rights (SAR) plan that kicks in after one year
🐣 Family friendly: Parent-friendly working environment
👕 Arkipel gear: Epic swag, obviously
💰 The typical annual compensation for this role ranges from €16,000 to €20,000 based on 16 hours, including 8% holiday allowance. Salary depends on experience and expertise and will be discussed individually.
